14 Syrian migrants were discovered on Thursday morning in the back of a Polish lorry that was parked in a layby of the E17 near Gentbrugge. The migrants were all male and included one under-18. On Thursday afternoon, the Ghent division of East Flanders Public Prosecutor’s office confirmed that they were all in good health.
The Polish lorry drive found the migrants when he stopped for a break at around 10:00 am near Gentbrugge.
East Flanders police were called to the scene.
