Hottest first 10 days in November

The average temperature for the first 10 days of November reached 13.7 degrees. “We shattered the previous 2011 record for the first 10 days of November which was 12.3 degrees,” said meteorologist David Dehenauw. “The average temperature at this time of year is usually 8.5 degrees.”

This “warm” early November weather is due to “very warm air from the subtropical side of the ocean, regularly blown towards our country by moderate to fairly strong winds, which kept the air from cooling,” he explained. The mild weather is set to continue over the next few days, but will be far from as warm as early November.
