Tuesday evening’s searches in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean’s Rue de la Perle, part of an investigation into weapons possession, were fruitless and did not result in any arrests, revealed an informed source on Wednesday. The Brussels prosecutor also revealed on Tuesday evening that there was no known link between these searches and recent similar moves and arrests in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, as part of the investigation into last Friday’s Paris attacks.
