A demolition company was on site Rue de Hodimont in Verviers on Sunday evening, in order to demolish a house damaged by an explosion in the next few hours, said Muriel Targnion, Verviers Alderwoman. “Another house, to the left of the one destroyed, will also be demolished. For three other houses, an assessment of sustainability needs to be carried out,” added the Alderwoman.
Muriel Targnion also explained that only one of the fourteen victims hospitalised following the explosion would spend the night at the hospital.
