The Polish police has discovered 178 kg of cocaine in a cargo of bananas arriving from Colombia. The drug shipment has a "black market" value of 25 million euros, indicated on Monday a police spokes-person to the Polish PAP press agency.
The cargo first arrived by boat to Belgium and was thereafter packaged into a truck to head to Poland. The driver of the vehicle, 40 years of age, has been arrested.
The final destination for the delivery of the cocaine hasn’t been clarified. This is the largest drug related discovery in Poland’s history.
