Around 20 Cross-country and alpine ski resorts accessible

On Saturday, around 20 Cross-country and alpine ski resorts in the Eastern Cantons and Luxemburg province were accessible. This was announced by the Tourist Agency for the East and the Belgian Luxemburg Tourist Federation. The layer of snow in the different resorts varies between 15 and 50 cm, for some resorts in Luxemburg.

Alpine skiing possibilities went up by 20% with the opening of the Ovifat slope, after the Mont des Brumes (Francorchamps), Thier des Rexhons (Spa), Wanne and Baraque Fraitue slopes.

There was 20 to 30 cm layer on the slopes on Friday.

Around a dozen resorts are accessible in the Eastern Cantons.

In Eifel, you can ski at Rocheath, Elsenborn and Bütgenbach. Signal de Botrange, Baraque Michel, Maison and Mont Spinette are also open in Hautes Fagnes. The Houyres (Malmedy) slope is also open. In the South of the Eastern Cantons Losheimergraben and Schönberg (Saint-Vith) will be open to Cross-country skiers.

And not forgetting Thier des Rexhons in Spa.

In the Luxemburg province, weather conditions are more uncertain, with warmer conditions in several regions. Nevertheless, Anlier, Champion, Gouvy, d’Odeigne, Matelange, Saint-Hubert and Samrée and of course Baraque Fraiture are all open.

Most managers say they will be open all weekend.
