In Charleroi, nothing came of the meeting with management that followed Friday’s General Meeting. This was revealed by the Christian Public Services Centre on Saturday.
A General Meeting took place on Friday afternoon. There was lively debate between CGSP and the numerous workers who want to go back to work. On Friday morning, 51 workers wanted to go back to work, but were stopped. They weren’t able to go to a vote.
A delegation asked to meet the General Director of the company in Charleroi, but that didn’t happen. At the management’s request, the buses that are blocking the depots might be moved to let them get back to work.
The strike will continue until the next General Meeting, which will take place on Tuesday.
