The Council of Ministers extended Thursday for two three-month periods the protocol regarding the protection of nuclear plants of Electrabel by Federal Police. While awaiting new operational guidance of the Federal Police, a protocol between National Defence and the Federal Police contemplates military participation for this mission.
Given that from the security viewpoint the situation of nuclear plants remains unchanged, the protocol has been extended for two consecutive three-month periods beginning on September 19th and December 19th, 2016, according to a communiqué.
