Footballer Onder Turaci stabbed by ex-girlfriend's brother
Turaci was involved in a scuffle with his sisters ex-boyfriend.

An individual, born in 1981, was detained on Tuesday for attempted murder on the Rue Saint-Nicolas in Liège. The Public Prosecutor's office stated this today (Thursday). The man caused two knife wounds to the brother of his ex-girlfiend.

The daily newspaper, La Meuse, says that the victim is none other than the former footballer for the Standard Liège, Onder Turaci.

Following a childcare issue, the former ex-girlfriend went to the home of her ex.

The individual was not at home but invited the woman to meet him in a snack bar on the Rue Saint-Nicolas.

A dispute broke out between them and the women went to find her vehicle.

Altercation between the two parents continued on the pavement. The woman warned her brother and a cousin by telephone.

They very quickly arrived at the scene. Attempting to intervene, Onder Turaci, aged 35, pushed the man and a scuffle ensued.

The former boyfriend took out a knife causing two knife wounds, one level with the Torso and the other on the back of the thigh.

When the police arrived Turaci's condition was considered serious.

As La Meuse mentions, Onder Turaci played for Standard Liège between 2000 and 2004. He then left Belgium for Turkey where he played for Fenerbahçe S.K. Currently, he plays for RFC Seraing.
