KSV Roeselare scoop first round on day 14 of the Proximus League
There was an interesting finish for the opening tournament in the Proximus League.

We had to wait for the last minutes of the fourteenth and last day, to know who had won the opening tournament of Division 1B. Asserting themselves at home playing Antwerp (2-1), KSV Roeselare now end the opening tournament with 30 points, two more than Lierse.

A goal down after that of William Owusu (in the 47th minute), KSV Roeselare equalised through Samy Kehli (in the 53rd minute), before asserting themselves through Raphaël Lecomte (in the 88th minute).

Lierse SK won at Oud-Hervelee Leuven (0-1). Lierse's Dylan De Belder, who scored the only goal (in the 6th minute), will be consoling himself with the title lead scorer (with a plus 12 goal difference).

Antwerp is classified third at the end of the first tournament with 20 points, two more than the Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, which was victorious at Lommel United (1-2).

Goals scored by Mathias Fixelles (in the 42nd minute) and Alves Da Silva (in the 55th minute) meant the Brussels club was able to win.

However by reducing the gap, Glenn Neven from Lommel United (who scored in the 66th minute) ensured that the end of the match was no walk in the park for the Brussels club.

Yellow cards were doled out to Grégoire Neels and Mohammed Aoulad.

In the Cercle Bruges against A.F.C. Tubize match, taken to a goal down after a penalty for Cercle Bruges by Ivan Yagan (in the 19th minute), A.F.C Tubize then turned the situation on its head in the second half.

In his first game as coach for the Bruges team, there was no way José Riga could have avoided its third successive defeat (final score: 4-1).

The team from Brabant scooped fifth place with 17 points. Next in the table came Oud-Hervelee Leuven (with 15 points), Lommel (with 13 points) and Cercle Bruges, who finished last (12 points).

KSV Roeselare will face home and away matches with the winner of the closing tournament, to elect the overall winner of the competition.
