Business federation launches guide on operating under heightened terrorist threat

The Federation of Belgian Enterprises, FEB, has published a booklet titled ‘Guide for doing business under a heightened terrorist threat’, intended for small and medium-sized enterprises, the federation announced on Friday. The guide proposes prevention, reaction and assessment tools for use in the event of such a threat. It contains a series of tips and simple questions that enable business people to conduct risk analyses and assess whether their businesses are well prepared or not. The brochure also provides entrepreneurs with advice on how to remedy any weaknesses.

“Terrorist attacks have also had an impact on security within businesses,” Philippe Lambert, secretary general of the FEB explained. “With this guide the FEB wishes to help entrepreneurs to prepare themselves and train their staff as best they can so as to reassure them and be ready in the event of an attack. We hope, of course, that they won’t face any.”
