Proceedings by Director-General of Royal Fine Arts Museums against Sleurs
The Director-General of the Fine Arts Museums takes criminal proceedings against Elke Sleurs

The Director-General (DG) of the Royal Fine Arts Museums in Belgium (known as the MRBAB), Michel Draguet, has just launched criminal proceedings. These are against the Secretary of State for Scientific Policy, Elke Sleurs (New Flemish Alliance).

This is according to information disseminated by L'Echo today (Tuesday).

He has taken proceedings for harassment and conspiracy by civil servants. Sleurs is alleged to have conducted such activities in conjunction with the President of the Management Committee for Scientific Policy, René Delcourt.

According to the argument put forward by the newspaper, since her appointment in September 2014, the Secretary of State has continually prevented the DG from completing his role impartially.

The legal application states, “The Secretary of State has endlessly, together with the M. Delcourt, gone out of her way to put Mr Draguet in difficulty.”
