Belgium produced slightly less wind energy in 2016 than in 2015, according to the latest figures from Elia, the company that manages the country’s energy-transport network. Total wind energy production in 2016 was 4.6 million megawatts/hour (MWH) as against roughly 5 million MWH last year. However Elia noted that the 2016 result was normal while 2015 had been an exceptional year.
