Queen Paola left hospital last Tuesday and is convalescing at the Château du Belvédère, Palace sources confirmed yesterday (Sunday). The Queen was in hospital for a total of a week for a vertebral fracture, following a fall.
The Television programme “Place Royale” (which focuses on current affairs in the Belgian and foreign monarchies), on RTL-TVI, reported that the Queen had left the Brussels Saint-Luc University Hospital.
This information was subsequently confirmed by the Palace.
On December 28th, both the Palace and the Brussels Saint-Luc University Hospital thought it likely that Queen Paola would be taking advantage of several months of physiotherapy.
