Belgian Pride will be held in Brussels on the 20th of May

The 22nd Belgian Pride Festival will be held in Brussels on the 20th of May. The traditional parade will take place at the end of the Festival, which will be held from the 4th to the 20th of May. The Belgian event will kick-start the European “Pride” season. This year’s theme will be asylum and immigration.

There will be a mini parade to open the Festival on the 4th of May. The LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, in question and intersex+) community will be accompanied by the Meyboom marching band during the parade, which will pass by the Manneken Pis.

There will be two weeks of activities and debates around asylum and immigration. “The Festival is an opportunity for our community to go over our demands and join in political debate”, say the organisers.

The Float parade will set off from the Mont des Arts in Brussels on the 20th of May. More than 60 delegations will be represented.
