Belgians Yanina Wickmayer, Elise Mertens and Kirsten Flipkens have all dropped in the top-100 WTA tennis players' world rankings.

In contrast the Australian Ashleigh Barty now features. She won her first tournament in Kuala Lumpur and climbed 66 places. She is now 92nd.

Wickmayer, aged 27, knocked out in the first round by the Slovakian Daniela Hantuchova last week in Acapulco, dropped four places.

She sits in 68th position with 868 points. Elise Mertens who lost places from the outset against the Dutchwoman, Lesley Kerkhove in Kuala Lumpur, fell from 69th to 71th place.

Finally Kirsten Flipkens, who reached the quarter finals in Acapulco, has fallen from rank 76 to 87. Maryna Zanevska is 121st (up one place).

The top 3 is now comprised of the American Serena Williams (with 7,780 points), the German Angelique Kerber (7,405 points) and the Czech Karolina Pliskova (5,640 points).

The Ukrainian, Lesia Tsurenko, who won in Acapulco, has climbed from 41st position (up nine) and the Frenchwomen, Kristina Mladenovic, who reached the finals. She knocked out Flipkens 6-4, 6-3 in the quarter finals  and McHale in the semi-finals. Mladenovic has actually reached 26th in the world rankings (up four), the best ranking of her career.
