There are currently seven Belgian firms in the top ten most attractive employers, as perceived by Belgian workers. This is indicated today (Thursday) in a study by Randstad. The latter company is active within the sphere of temporary work, outplacement and recruitment services.
A total of 11,000 people aged 18 to 65, being students, workers and jobseekers, responded to the survey.
Moreover, it emerges from this study that, henceforth, workers attach greater importance to pay than to job security, when choosing an employer.
Thus, in 2013, 69% of respondents still classed job security amongst the five main criteria for choice of employer. In that year, this criterion was clearly even more important than all of the others.
By 2017, this is the case for no more than 50% of respondents. The result: job security has dropped to third position in the employer appeal criteria, after the salary package and work environment, and just ahead of the work-life balance.
Lastly, this study shows that the pharmaceutical sector, once again, snaps up the prize for appeal. However, it only outpaces the media by 0.5%.
