Mobile bakery in so-called “carolos” districts

A mobile bakery will be funded by the Charleroi Public Social Services Centre, as part of its community budget. Through this, the third sector organisation, Circomedie, which has set it up, particularly wishes to make citizens players in their own consumption habits. It also aims to allow the population to acquaint themselves with the bread-making process.

In terms of the practical operation of the venture, Circomedie, wishes to travel around the so-called “carolos” districts with a caravan, which will have an integrated wood stove and various work areas.

Through its community budget, the Charleroi Public Social Services Centre wishes to support various projects to ensure social cohesion, using a total of several million euros. Over the past year, there were a total of 15 such projects.
