A Belgian has won the sum of 153.873.716 Euros at the EuroMillions, the national lottery announced on Friday. The Belgian was the only player to have chosen the five correct numbers (8-10-24-33-42) and the two starred numbers (3-9). The winning sum of almost 154 million euros is the second highest sum ever recorded in Belgium, the spokes-person of the lottery specified. It is the eight highest sum in the history of the lottery.
On 11 October 2016, a person from Brussels who had registered his lottery ticket in Schaerbeek had taken home 168 million euros.
Next week, the jackpot falls back to 17 million euros.
