Early evidence says there is no link between the London attack and Belgium, Home Affairs Minster Jan Jambon’s cabinet told Belga on Sunday. The Organisation for the Coordination of Threat Analysis (Ocam) is monitoring the situation closely. The terrorist threat level in Belgium remains at level 3 out of 4 throughout the country.
There was another attack in the United Kingdom on Saturday evening. The perpetrators ran a lorry into pedestrians on London Bridge at around 10pm. The suspects then started stabbing passers-by in Borough Market. Seven people were killed and 48 injured.
“The incidents shows once again how important it is to have the alert level at 3 in our country”, Jan Jambon’s cabinet said.
