Jihane El Oizi (aged 6) has disappeared, being seen for the last time on the Marché de l’Abattoir in Anderlecht yesterday afternoon (Sunday).
As part of this investigation, the federal police, which distributed a wanted notice in respect of the disappearance, is requesting that an individual seen on video-surveillance images comes before investigators. Any individual who might be able to identify him is also requested to contact the federal police. The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into this worrying disappearance.
The man whom the police are looking for is bald and has a beard. On the images he wears a white T-shirt, light-blue Bermuda shorts with a white pattern, as well as sandals. He is pulling a dark-coloured trolley. This appears on the federal police website. Information, which appeared on the RTL website, indicates that the individual may have been seen on the video-surveillance images proffering his hand to Jihane El Oizi then leaving with her.
The last time that Jihane El Oizi, aged 6, was seen was on the Marché de l’Abattoir in Anderlecht on Sunday at 3 p.m. She has not been seen since. The little girl is 1 metre 20 centimetres tall, with long brown hair and dark-coloured eyes. She speaks French and Dutch. Yesterday (Sunday) she was wearing a blue skirt with whiite stars, a pink belt and yellow sandals.
The police are inviting anyone who may have seen Jihane, or who may know where she, is to contact the investigators on this case. Such witnesses should use the free telephone number 0800 30 300, or ring Child Focus on the number 116 000.
