Security measures adapted

Security measures adapted
The Federal Prosecutor briefs the press on Wednesday morning on the events that unfolded during Tuesday evening’s terrorist attempt at Brussels Central Station.

Security measures have been adapted “as a precautionary measure”, following a terrorist act which took place on Tuesday evening at Brussels Central Station. These precautions were made public on Wednesday morning by the FPS Interior Crisis Centre. The threat level remains at 3 on the standard scale of 1-4.

The authorities are announcing “an increased visibility and presence of the security services” in stations and metros. All events are being appropriately protected by such services “with increased vigilance.”

OCAM (the organisation for threat analysis coordination), had already made known, in the wake of the incident at Brussels Central Station, that the threat level was being kept at 3. OCAM stated, “this means that the threat remains serious and real.”
