Child Focus began the search for two children in Duffel (Antwerp province) on Saturday. The missing children are Liam Merckx, 11, and his sister Elise, 13. They have been missing since Friday, the foundation’s spokesman Dirk Depover revealed on Saturday.
The two children have not been since Friday, but it is not known what time they were last seen. They left their home “probably together, on bikes”, Mr Depover told the Belga agency.
The spokesman said their disappearance did not appear suspicious “at the moment”.
Liam, 11, is 1.55m tall and of slim build. He has brown eyes and short light brown hair, Child Focus says on its website.
His 13 year old sister, Elise, is 1.65m tall and also of slim build. She has blue eyes and long blonde hair. She has a scar on her right leg, near her knee.
