There was a hit and run in Lodelinsart (Charleroi) early Saturday evening. A motorist hit four people, including two teenagers, while they were using a zebra crossing. The driver did not stop.
The emergency services said the incident happened on the Chaussée de Châtelet in Lodelinsart at around 7.15pm. Four pedestrians, two of whom were teenagers, were hit by a car while crossing the main road opposite the Aldi store.
The four victims were injured to varying degrees. One of the teenagers was the most seriously hurt.
The driver took off in an unknown direction. The emergency services took care of the victims who were taken to hospital. The local Charleroi police have launched an investigation to find the person responsible.
