Johan Thijs, the boss of KBC, is according to the Harvard Business Review, one of the best CEOs in the world. He is placed seventh in the review’s classification. The only other Belgian is Jef Colruyt, in 88th place. Carlos Brito, CEO of AB InBev, is placed 13th. Pablo Isla, CEO of Inditex (Zara) is in first position.
The management review takes account of the financial benefits of the company but takes other criteria into account, such as sustainability.
According to De Tijd, Johan Thijs occupied 17th place last year and Jef Colruyt was in 70th place.
