18th victory for Manchester City: De Bruyne assist and early departure for Kompany
Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne played in the Manchester City match against Newcastle United yesterday.

Manchester City won 0-1 on the Newcastle United pitch on Wednesday, during the 20th Premier League day. Vincent Kompany and Kevin De Bruyne both started the match in the Mancunian ranks, but Kompany then left the pitch after 11 minutes of play.

Kompany traded places with Gabriel Jesus, before going to sit in the stands. The Red Devil had a team place for the second time in a row. Last Saturday, he was returned in the eleventh minute by Guardiola when playing against Bournemouth (where Manchester City won 4-0), whilst he was in the flank from December 10th onwards. On that date, he sustained an injury in a Manchester Derby match (matches against Manchester United), which led to his departure at half-time.

Yesterday De Bruyne played for the entire match and produced an assist for the one goal of the match, scored by Raheem Sterling in the 31st minute.

It is the 18th win in a row for Manchester City, which has now strengthened its first position with a comfortable lead of 15 points over Manchester United.
