Fresh risk of ice during the night before warmer weekend
Meteorogists are predicting temperatures will increase during the weekend, reaching between 10°C and 16°C on Saturday and Sunday, with showers mixed in.

Current predictions of the Royal Meteorological Institute are for stormy conditions to cross Belgium on Thursday afternoon, sometimes bringing heavy showers. The north of the country may be affected by any of these storms, whilst south of the Sambre et Meuse river valley, the rain will take on a wintery nature. Maximum temperatures will vary between 4°C and 9°C.

During the night, anticipated minimum temperatures will be between -1°C and +1°C, with frost frequently forming on the ground. Frost and ice patches cannot be ruled out.

On Friday, there will be fine sunny spells in the north, whilst the rest of the country will wake up to fog. Light rain will sweep the south of the country in the morning and around midday. These rain showers will cross into Flanders in the afternoon. The temperature will reach 10°C. The night will be humid, but warmer than this coming night.

The temperatures will increase during the weekend, reaching between 10°C and 16°C on Saturday and Sunday, but showers will also feature.

Next week will be like the weekend: temperatures oscillating around the 13°C mark, and a mixture of showers and sunny spells.
