Record high participation for 8th sex toys hunt edition in Wépion

All in all, close to 10,000 people, among which 4,300 participants, participated in the 8th sex toy hunt edition, organized Sunday in Wépion (Namur) by the Soft Love company and Elle-émoi ASBL. A record edition which went without any incident. Launched in 2011, the first sex toys hunt edition had made a real “buzz” in Belgium. Today, the event is becoming international, and especially the French, among others, are showing an interest: about 800 of them had traveled to be part of it. A sex toys hunt edition is also in the pipeline in France, the organizer has announced.

With their spade as a weapon, the 4,000 women participating, with the help of 300 men, went hunting for the 800 presents buried in the Wépion field. In total, counting the accompanying personnel, they were close to 10,000 on Sunday, that is 2,000 more than were predicted. A record high and unexpected number for the organizers, who are very pleased with this craze.

Besides the hunt itself, several activities were planned, and a few associations were present, among which Endometriose ASBL. “The endometriosis subject was a smash hit. We indeed realized that many women suffering from this illness did not dare to see a doctor, which confirms our communication pivotal role, making it possible for patients and sexologists to meet,” explains Nicolas Bustin, organizer.

Moreover, except for one person unwell, the edition went without incident. The organization had been reexamined and expanded, so as to prevent such problems as those faced with in the preceding edition, which had suffered from a lack of water.

The 9th edition has already been announced for 14 April 2019.
