The Belgian singer Maurane’s funeral will take place at 10am this Thursday. It will be held in the Notre-Dame des Grâces church in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, her press officer revealed on Sunday. The singer died at home on the 7th of May. It will be a very small, intimate service.
Messages of condolence and flowers can be left at the church on the morning of the service. The church is at 2 Chant d’Oiseaux, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.
The velvety-voiced singer was found dead at her home in Schaerbeek on the 7th of May. She was 57. She had done a concert the day before and was preparing an album to commemorate 40 years since the death of Jacques Brel. She had become very big on the French variety scene.
