Arrest warrant requested for intentional assault and battery in Namur café

An arrest warrant was requested Friday evening against a man for intentional assault and battery in a Namur café, “Le Transit,’’ announced Saturday Namur prosecution. Around 10 pm, a fight started between two persons in a café situated on Rogier Street in Namur. The dispute was so bad that it continued outside, and a knife wound was inflicted by one of the protagonists.

Wounded in the left ribs area, the victim was taken to the hospital, but his condition is “without gravity,’’ and he has no physical incapacity. The suspect, well known by the courts, has been arrested, and a warrant for voluntary assault and battery and for infractions of the legislation on weapons has been requested by prosecution.
