Parental leave tempts more fathers

The number of fathers who have opted for a parental leave has increased by 54% in five years, according to Acerta social secretariat figures as relayed by Le Soir, Saturday. Men are still only 2.44% to make such a choice, compared to 4.51% women, but the two curves are getting closer.

“Before 2017, there were signs of such a change, but women took parental leave much more frequently. However, since 2017, we observe a change,’’ notes Amandine Boseret, Acerta spokesperson, quoted by Le Soir.
