Several hundred kilos of paraffin wax washes up on Belgian beaches

A large quantity of paraffin wax washed up on Belgian beaches last week, according to the Westhoek fire department. They are working with Zone 1 firefighters to clean it up. The paraffin wax was found on beaches in Middekerke and Blankenberge.

More was found at Nieuport and Oostduinkerke on Saturday. It turned out to be several hundred kilos of wax. It is not known where the wax came from, but it is most likely from a boat.
