Red Devils to meet their supporters in the Brussels Grand-Place
Belgian players will have the chance to celebrate their involvement in the World Cup with their supporters in Brussels on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Red Devils will be welcomed at 12.30 p.m. at the Palais Royal in Laeken, when they return from participating in the football World Cup in Russia. The welcome is scheduled to take place before they begin an open-top bus tour to reach the Brussels Grand Place around 3.30 p.m. The joint announcement came on Thursday evening from Brussels City Council and the Belgian Football Union.

The day after the third-place play-off against England, Belgian players and members of staff will thus have the chance to celebrate their involvement in the World Cup with their supporters.

They will be able to pay tribute to their supporters from the balcony of the City Hall, and make the most of the fever which has reigned throughout the World Cup.

“Although the players and the members of staff are disappointed not to qualify for the World Cup final, this magnificent togetherness viewed in perspective with supporters will be the opportunity to end our World Cup on a very high note.” Such was the opinion of the Office of the Mayor of Brussels City Council, Philippe Close, and the Belgian Football Union, in a joint communiqué broadcast at the beginning of yesterday evening.
