Complaints against Mobile Vikings on the rise

Telecoms provider Mobile Vikings faces considerable technical problems and its telephone assistance service is no longer accessible, leading to a barrage of complaints to the Telecoms Ombudsman in recent weeks. Mobile Vikings, which began as a niche operator, mainly for large consumers of mobile data, does not have a network of its own. It initially rented part of the capacity of Base and currently shares Orange’s band.

While its customer service had a very good reputation, it is in free fall today, according to complaints posted on social networks, while the Office of the Ombudsman for Telecommunications has seen an increase in the number of cases submitted to it . “Between 1 January and 17 December, we received 300 complaints against Unleashed, which runs Mobile Vikings and Jim Mobile,” Ombudsman Luc Tuerlinckx explained. In 2017, only 91 complaints were filed.

The complaints relate mainly to technical problems (inability to send messages, go on the Internet or make calls) and to the accessibility of Mobile Vikings’ customer service. Due to a backlog of unanswered complaints, the company decided in mid-October to respond only to written questions. Since then, its telephone assistance service is no longer accessible.

The Mobile Vikings communication service was not immediately available for a reaction.
