Snow triggers alert in East of Belgium

The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) has placed the provinces of Liège and Luxembourg in yellow alert from 10.00 pm Tuesday evening due to expected snowfall. The alert is until Wednesday 1:00 pm. Snow fall is expected during the night of Tuesday and Wednesday, including Wednesday morning, with a layer of 1 to 5 centimetres forecasted in the Ardennes. In the High Fens, 10 centimetres of snow could fall.

The institute also warns drivers of icy conditions on the Ardennes road network.
