Flemish Christian Democrats to launch appeal for creative ideas to reduce traffic jams
The Flemish Christian Democrats intend to counter the negative impact of these queues upon the economy, but also upon quality of life and health.

The Flemish Christian Democrats will launch an appeal for creative ideas from citizens to reduce traffic jams. “In recent years, we have worked upon many proposals which we have passed on to the relevant minister. However, there are possibly aspects that we haven’t yet thought of,” stressed the party. The organisation is promising to retain the best citizen ideas, and to champion them in the run up to the forthcoming elections.

In 2018, the Flemish spent some 925,000 hours in traffic jams, a phenomenon which only continues to increase.

The Flemish Christian Democrats intend to counter the negative impact of these queues upon the economy, but also upon quality of life and health. Several deputies have already set out, in the form of short films, their ideas to fight these traffic jams. The party is now calling upon citizens and their creative ideas.

These will be collated on the site www.cdenv.be/fileidee.
