Ghent University’s administration council approved a new diversity plan on Friday evening. This plan includes the installation of reserved breast-feeding spaces in all of its 16 sites.
UGhent is also thinking of installing neutral rest areas, where students and staff can go to find a bit of calm.
It also wants to make students and staff aware of its non-discrimination charter. It has only been a few months since the scandal involving the Schild & Vrienden movement and its founder Dries Van Langenhove. Mr Langenhove was the head of the University’s administration council.
Finally, a special commission will make sure that all publications and documents sent by UGhent respect all genres.
