A collision between two pleasure boats on the Schelde river by Antwerp seriously injured three people and slightly injured 15 others. The accident was reported by the Flemish Maritime and Coastal Agency on Friday evening. The boats involved were two zodiacs, carrying a total of 20 passengers.
The passengers were treated by a vessel belonging to the Vloot transport company, as well as firemen and an Antwerp bus-boat. Navigation in the area has now returned to normal.
The Dutch Foreign Affairs minister wrote a slightly different summary on Twitter: he said that 20 of his countrymen were injured, three seriously.
