Carrefour Belgium and Medi-Market Group have signed a long-term partnership that will provide health and wellness products in hypermarkets stores, the group said on Monday. These parapharmacies will be set up in stores where the demand for health and wellness products is high, and where space is sufficient, it added.
The Medi-Market sales area will be separated from the Carrefour hypermarket though the concept of a shop-in-shop, a space reserved for another brand in a point of sale.
Founded in 2014, Medi-Market currently has 30 drugstores, 16 pharmacies and three beauty salons in Belgium. It plans to open more than 15 points of sale this year.
