Frites shop wants to cook for more than 5 days to break world record

Luc Driesen from "Frituria Estrella" in Malle wants to cook frites for 126 hours -five days and six hours- in order to break the world record.

The 'frituur' (frites shop) celebrates its fifth anniversary on Friday, and the owners wanted to do something special. "It might not be very healthy, but two doctors will supervise me," said Driesen on the morning radio programme on Radio 2. "Every six hours, I have to rest for an hour," he added.

At 3 PM on Friday he will start his attempt. If everything goes as planned, he will be the new record holder by Thursday morning.
