An 18-year-old man was injured in a knife attack on Tuesday evening during the fair in Genk. The young man suffered a wound in the thigh. Three people have since been arrested in connection with the attack, and local police continue to investigate the incident.
On Tuesday at around 23:15, a fight broke out between the boy and five other people. The victim was threatened, beaten and wounded with a blunt object.
The police were notified and went to the scene, but the five suspects had already fled. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
