European far right asked to explain links to Russia

For the leader of the European liberals Guy Verhofstadt, Matteo Salvini must, "as leader of the far right in Europe", explain himself clearly on the links between the extreme right in Europe and Russia. "People have the right to know what diabolical plan you have in mind," he declared in a video posted on Twitter.
 
"I have already had a discussion with Conte - the president of the Italian Council, ndlr - but we all know you are the real boss of the Italian government. You are also seen as leader of the far right in Europe. Since you and your friends Le Pen, Strache and Orban are conspiring with Poutine and you are being paid by him to bring down Europe, I challenge you to a debate. People have the right to know what diabolical plan you have in mind. Tell us what you mean to do. A debate in Brussels or Italy. I'll be there," Verhofstadt assured.
