The police are searching for an exhibitionist in Flagey after an incident in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The police launched their search after a young woman called them at around 4:15 AM to explain that she had been chased on Lesbroussartstraat by a man who was completely naked.

“At one stage I turned around and suddenly saw a man aggressively masturbating,” the young woman told HLN.

“He chased me for ten meters and then went the other direction. I saw him put on a coat. A few minutes later I was chased again. He fled to Flagey a few moments later when he realised that I was calling the police,” the woman added.

The police arrived quickly on the scene but the suspect had already disappeared. Police officers continue to search for the man in the area.

“The police are currently investigating the case and are looking for any available camera footage,” said police spokesperson, Ilse Van De Keere.

If caught, the exhibitionist could receive a prison sentence of eight days up to a year, as well as a fine.
