Hiring drive by Securitas in France and Belgium

Swedish Securitas, the European leader in security services, is recruiting heavily to face demand in France and Belgium, revealed the group’s CEO to the Swedish press on Thursday. Securitas sent out 800 additional security guards in France and 300 in Belgium in the past few days, explained CEO Alf Göransson to the business daily Dagens Industri. No details were given as to the type of contracts involved. Securitas employs 5,500 people in Belgium and 20,000 in France.

Securitas France already faced a peak in its activity in the two to three months following January’s Paris attacks, but not quite as stark. The group is also expecting increased activity in its home country, as Sweden raised warning of terrorist attacks to the second highest level possible. The news will affect management figures, as the company banks on a 28% increase in turnover this year.
