Proximus allowed to push out over-60s

The federal government approved a voluntary redundancy plan involving Proximus workers over 60, representing several hundreds of workers, almost all of whom are civil servants, reveals daily L'Echo on Friday. The government adds a strict caveat: costs for implementing the plan cannot be passed along to the government. Proximus will have to accept the entire burden of implementing the redundancy plan, a system which allegedly takes advantage of a pre-pension leave programme. Talks with unions are to start shortly.
