There will be 12,000 Red Cross volunteers criss-crossing Brussels and Wallonia until May 12th to raise funds for the charity, Red Cross announced. The volunteers are selling first aid kits for five euros. The money collected will finance local Red Cross initiatives.
The organization highlights that a five-euro first aid kit buys 18 survival blankets or pays for a meal for a homeless individual, whilst three euros purchases a drip kit.
Large bandages were left in several places yesterday to attract the attention of citizens.
Donations may also be made via the site www.croix-rouge.be.
