Fries awarded to Ghent students who do not urinate on streets

Students in the city of Ghent were offered an order of fries on Wednesday night if they didn’t urinate on the street. The first 100 people with a pressing need who used public toilets were rewarded by receiving a paper cone of fries. Twenty of them also received a cone from “the best loo lady in Ghent.”

Between September 20 and 15 November, the City of Ghent’s prevention services want to raise awareness of students in the lively district of “Overpoort.” Revelers are advised to use public toilets, and above all not to urinate on the street. A fine of 60 euros penalizes this behavior, which represents the price of 20 cones of fries.
