Sharia4Belgium – Brian De Mulder’s mother excluded from courtroom for insulting Belkacem

The mother of 21-year-old Brian De Mulder, who has filed a civil action suit, was excluded from the courtroom on Wednesday. The police escorted her out after she insulted Fouad Belkacem on the 7th day of the terrorism trial against the Islamist group Sharia4Belgium at the criminal court of Antwerp. The woman explained to the court how her son befriended “baddies” from Sharia4Belgium and how he changed under the influence of Fouad Belkacem. “My life and that of my family became hell from then on. I lost everything: my son, my job and my home. But I want Fouad Belkacem to know I will never give up,” confided Aergh Rodrigues Viana Ozonga.

Brian De Mulder’s mother also explained how she has been approached on the street and told she should be happy to see her son go to Syria and be willing to die for Allah. “I don’t understand how they can say such a thing. I want my son back, he is everything to me. If anything happened to him, I would go mad. He was born here, he is not a Muslim, why did they have to come and take him away? Do they have no mercy?”

She maintained Fouad Belkacem was the real guilty party, and said she would like to see him sent to a Moroccan jail, rather than a Belgian one, which she feels are far too comfortable for a man like him. She then called him “stupid” and a “fool”, before being escorted out.

46 defendants are on trial for having organised or taken part in terrorist group actions. The public prosecutor requested prison terms of up to 15 years (the maximum sentence) for several members of the group, including Fouad Belkacem. Only 9 of the accused were present. The others are either in Syria or died before the trial took place.
