Gangster Claude Silverans arrested in Anderlecht

The former bank robber and lieutenant to Patrick Haemers, 46 year old Claude Silverans, was arrested by federal police while visiting his parents in Anderlecht. Police had been looking for him since the end of 2014, La Dernière Heure reported on Wednesday. “Mr Silverans was wanted by police after being sentenced to 3 years in prison. We will also revoke his conditional parole for the ten year prison sentence he got in 2005”, the Brussels Prosecutor’s office said.

The Prosecutor’s office said that Mr Silverans was arrested on the 17th of June by the federal police’s Fast (Fugitive asset search team) unit.
