Brussels Council Chamber extends pre-trial custody of suspect in Sheraton case

Late on Monday afternoon prosecutors in Brussels confirmed the Council Chamber’s decision to extend the custody period of one of the suspects in the Sheraton Hotel cocaine trafficking case. The suspect (S. RS.) is charged with narcotics trafficking and organised criminal activity. The police dismantled a cocaine trafficking network at Brussels Sheraton Hotel on Place Rogier on July 13th. They seized over 15 kg of cocaine and 500,000 euros in cash from a hotel room during an exchange of merchandise between buyers and sellers.

Four people were arrested - B.A. and his son S. and 2 Shaerbeek inhabitants (M. N. and S. R-S.).
